The morning portion of my ride started off pretty good until the fist-sized dragonfly attempted to land on my mouth/face. It was a fairly ackward moment for the both of us. I could feel the sun getting hot even though it was only 8 in the morning. At Poplarfield, I turned off into the Big Buck park and had some breakfast. I powered on until I could feel a slight temperature change in the wind. I then heard the pounding surf! I followed the 68 highway onto a gravel strip and was greeted with a huge expanse of wavy water. I had reached the ocean! My trip was over! I went down to the ocean, dipped my feet in the water and did a victory dance. What a great day for cycling and a great day for Canada! There are no pictures of the ocean because I ended up taking a bunch of pictures of myself grimacing under the hot sun because I got the camera turned around. An oldie but goody trick of mine.
