Been a busy few days so we decided to take the day off but no sooner had we done that when Tatsuya called and aksed if we wanted to go to lunch. We drove to a place in Megumi`s old neighbourhood. It was run by an old man and an old woman out of their house. I had Soba noodles with Tempura and it was great. The lady told a customer who wanted something that it would take too long and to order something else. A guy lit up a smoke next to us and we headed out. Anyone who has been in Japan knows that once you step into someone`s car, it can be hours before you are let free again. Becuase I remarked on the big white buddha statue, we went to do a close up and then I got taken to a black one which I hadnt seen before. Neat. They then drove me over to the shopping centre and we could se the ocean from the highway which wasnt possible before mother nature did some trimming along the coast. Always, you can see tiny houses which look more like containers and these are where the refugees from the tsunami are set up. Shopping was relatively painless in that I went to my happy place while Megumi choose a cover for our heated table that is being shpped over to us. We came back, did some shopping and then had Yukie, Momo, and Manon over for dinner. We finished off the evening with cards and it was fun to play with Manon because she would start to giggle every time she tried to cheat in the game Doubt. She`d be a terrible poker player. Just a few days left now and we will be going back home. Starting to pack our luggage to ship down to Tokyo.
