Truck has died and we have gotten to know our neighbours who have been nice enough to let us use their van. The Slovian man, Cyril, rides along with us and due to his throat surgery, it is sometimes hard to understand him. It's a little like learning a foreign language, you listen for 1 or 2 key words and react off that. Can't wait to have my truck back and to part with $1500 and help the northern economy.
We got blasted by snow around Oct 27 and then had a minus 21 day! Wow! I have gotten into the routine of walking four dogs now as Tania has taken off. Her boxers are pleasant but hig-maintenance. I truly cherish my 2 who are able to walk beside me without a leash! And they don't try to kill anyone or anything as we walk in the park. Always a bonus!
Sat down and recorded, "Meet Me in Tokyo". I was in a provincial park in Ontario and looking upon the beauty the province has. At the same time, I managed to get reception and looked at photos sent by my friend, Clarissa of her recent visit to Japan. I was saddened by the photos of the tsunami but happy to see the stremers for the festival on the go. There is a legend about a prince and a princess who meet once a year in the sky and the festival around is Tanabata. They hang streamers from the roof of the arcade and its a bit like being in an amusement park as you try to avoid hitting people as you walk down the street and through the streamers. Still working on quality of the recordings but it is getting quicker. I'll find that sound one day! I have also stopped selling the songs but am happy I made 99 cents during the tour. Thanks Scott! I have also put "Remember Me" and "Sun is Shining Somewhere" near the top as they are Remembrance Day songs. Hope you enjoy.
